Women's Division

Welcome to Women's Ball Hockey!  
 
WOMEN'S PROGRAM
 
We are a recreational, sanctioned program focusing on Fun, Fitness & Fairplay.
Women of all skill levels are welcome.

 
  • Pratice weekend: April 5-6, 2024 (1 pre-season practice shared)
  • Let the Games Begin: April - June 
    • 1 game per week (alternating weekday evening & weekend)
    • No games on May Long Weekend
  • Playoff Weekend: June 13-15, 2024
    • ​1-3 playoff games 
  • Team Rep Meeting: 
    • ​Date: Wednesday, April 3, 2024
    • Time: 7 - 8pm
    • ​Location: Tyleen (134 Pembina Road #136)
    • Note: game sheets, balls & jerseys will be distributed at meeting
Note: $500 deposit cheques required at time of equipment pick-up
(held until return of ALL equipment as per SPBH Equipment Policy)
 
 
Sign up as an individual, with friends or as a team:
  • Team minimum = 11 players​ (including goalies)
  • Team maximum = 20 players 
​Note: if your team is not returning but you still want to play, register under your previous team name. We will see who's returning and how many extra players you may need as we may be able to pull together another team in the same situation.

Substitute Players (registered players only):
  • Subs must be registered on a team (add your name to sub list at time of registration)
  • Teams can replace missing players:
    • A Pool can pull subs from A or B Pool
    • B Pool use subs from B Pool
    • Goalies can move anywhere - A or B Pools
    • Subs can play a maximum of 3 games per team within the season
    • Teams can have a maximum of 12 runners listed on gamesheet if using subs (goalies are not runners)
    • Pool placement will be determined by the league 
    • League standings will determine Pool placement for playoffs
  • Subs must honor own team commitment first
  • NO subs allowed on PLAYOFF WEEKEND without league approval

Each team requires a Team Rep - main liaison between your team and league
 
Roles & Responsibilites:
  • Communicate with SPBH executive, players, teams, etc.
  • Attend pre-season team rep meeting (early April)
  • Game sheets - player names/numbers (scorekeepers provided by league)
  • Find substitute players as needed (sub-list provided)
  • Equipment pick-up/return (dates/times will be communicated)
